2006 Rules

TEAMS MUST ASK FOR RULES BEFORE FISHING

  1. (A) Membership dues will be $30 per person.  (B) Only two (2) memberships paid per team.  (C) Memberships must be paid before a team can fish a points tournament.  (D) Any team that wishes to reduce their number of required tournaments to qualify for the classic from 6 to 5 can do so by paying an extra $10 in club dues per person. ($40 per person, $80 per team)  Both members of a team must elect to do this and  this election must be made when dues are paid.
  2. Entry fee is $50 per boat (1 or 2 persons) $40 payback per entry, $5 big fish, $5 classic fund.  Only 2 people per boat.  Only one boat per team.  The Cane Valley Christian Church Relay For Life Tournament will require a $65 entry fee.
  3. Points will be awarded for points tournaments as follows:  100 points for 1st place, 99 for 2nd, 98 for 3rd, etc… 
  4. Payback for tournaments:  1 – 5 boats (1 place) 6 – 10 boats (2 places) 11 – 19 boats (3 places)  20 + boats (4 places)  Payback for Classic:  The payback for the Green River Bass Club Classic will be determined by a vote of the members qualified for the classic at the “lake draw” meeting the night preceding day one of the classic.
  5. All lake rules will be followed including areas marked off limits and no fishing.
  6. CREEL LIMIT will be 5 (five) bass:  largemouth, smallmouth, and KY bass only.
  7. SIZE LIMITS will be:  Green River Lake:  12” minimum length on all bass. Lake Cumberland:  12” minimum on KY bass, 15” minimum on largemouth, 18” minimum on smallmouth. Barren River Lake & Nolin River Lake:  15” minimum on all bass, one (1) “slot” fish per person 12” – 15”.
  8. At least one bass from each creel will be measured:  mouth closed and touching end of rule, the tail may be fanned to reach minimum size limit.  Upon request, a courtesy check will be made for any fish in question.  Any fish that appears to have been altered or mauled in any way may be disqualified at the discretion of the tournament director.
  9. There will be a .13 lb. penalty for each dead bass brought to the scales.
  10. Life Jackets must be worn when the big engine (outboard) is running.  The driver should have the kill switch attached to their jacket.
  11. One person may fish alone; however, it is recommended that two people fish together for safety reasons.  No more than two persons per boat, no exceptions!
  12. Artificial bait ONLY! …… (pork rinds permitted)
  13. No trolling allowed, use only one rod at a time, maximum rod length is 8 ft.
  14. A team must fish any  6 of the 9 tournaments preceding the classic to qualify for the classic.  A maximum of 2 substitutes may be used in point tournaments.  There is no limit on subs in open tournaments.  NO SUBSTITUTE IN THE CLASSIC!
  15. A team may “buy in” (pay an entry fee but not actually fish) a maximum of 3 tournaments.  The entry fee must be paid prior to the start of the tournament.  Entry fees for a buy in will be:  Green River Lake - $50, Lake Cumberland, Barren, and Nolin - $75
  16. Starting positions for tournaments (except classic) will be determined by draw of numbered chips.  These chips must be returned to tournament director(s) by the tournament end time.  Any team not returning their chip by tournament end time will be disqualified and not allowed to weigh fish.  There is no grace period!  No exceptions!   Once your partner is dropped off to turn in your team’s chip and prepare to load your boat out of the water, the person left in the boat will not continue to fish past the end of the tournament end time.  (for example:  tournament end time is 3:00 pm and your chip has been turned in on time, due to ramp congestion you cannot load out your boat until after 3:00, no participants shall continue to fish after tournament end time; doing so can result in disqualification from the tournament.
  17. All fish brought to the scales will be caught from a boat by tournament participants from tournament waters during tournament hours.  Any culling of fish will be done on the water outside of the buoys of the ramp where the tournament launches.
  18. Livewell checks may be made at random tournaments.
  19. ANY WINNERS at any Green River Bass Club tournament, including the Classic, may be subject to a polygraph test.  Failure of a polygraph test will result in disqualification and forfeiture of any and all winnings.  In addition, in adherence to the rules of the Green River Bass Club, any participant that fails a polygraph exam will forfeit his/her winnings and have no recourse against any Green River Bass Club member, tournament official, or Green River Bass Club sponsor.
  20. The starting position for teams qualified for the classic (Day One) will be determined by their finish in the point standings.  First in points will be boat #1, second in points will be boat #2, etc….  The starting position for Day Two of the Classic will be determined by your teams standing after Day One of the Classic. 
  21. Anglers of the year (team with the most points) will receive:  $25 each and club jackets if classic fund is $1000 - $1999, $100 each plus jackets if classic fund is $2000 - $2999, $200 each plus jackets if classic fund is $3000 or more.
  22. Any dispute at a tournament will be settled by a vote of members present at that tournament.
  23. By entering into any Green River Bass Club tournament, you agree that fishing is a privilege and you will hold no Green River Bass Club member, tournament director, or sponsor responsible/liable for any claim of accident or injury  Furthermore, you agree to be courteous both on and off the water to others and will conduct yourself in a manner that reflects well upon the Green River Bass Club.
