The sixth points tournament of the Green River Bass Club took place on June 10, 2006 at Nolin River Lake. There were 21 boats that participated and brought a total of 66 fish to the scales to weigh a 116.7 lbs. for an average of 1.77 lbs. per fish. There were 5 teams that brought a limit of 5 fish to the scales. The big bass for the tournament was 4.11 lbs. Thanks to all who participated and congratulations to the winners!

Heavy fog delayed the start of the 5th points tournament for the Green River Bass Club on Sat. June 3rd at Barren River Lake. Once the fog began to lift, 28 boats took to the water and brought to the scales a total of 93 fish with a total weight of 179.89 lbs. The average weight per fish was 1.92 lbs. There were five teams that brought a limit of 5 fish to the scales. The big bass for the tournament was 6.37 lbs. Thanks to all who participated and congratulations to the winners!

Daniel Lawson displays two of the fish that he and his dad, Roger, caught. These two fish and their 3 other fish weighed 11.63 lbs. and earned them 2nd place in the tournament.

The Green River Bass Club hosted the Edward Jones Open Bass Tournament at Green River Lake on Sat. May 20th. 58 boats participated in this open tournament sponsored by the Edward Jones Investment Firm and Investment Representative George Eon of Campbellsville, Kentucky. There were 104 fish brought to the scales for a combined weight of 170.44 lbs. which made for a 1.64 lb. average weight per fish. There were 13 teams that brought a limit of 5 fish to the scales. The big bass for the tournament was 5.72 lbs. Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all who fished! A special thanks goes to George Eon and the Investment Firm of Edward Jones!

Barren River Lake was the site of the third points tournament of 2006 for the Green River Bass Club on Sat. April 22. While the lake level was still well below summer pool, recent rains had raised the water level in the last couple of days making for hazardous boating on the lake due to floating debris. A total of 32 boats participated in the tournament. There were 52 fish brought to the scales for a combined weight of 107.71 lbs. Three teams brought in a limit of 5 fish each. The big bass for the tournament was 4.40 lbs. Thanks to all who fished and congratulations to the winners!

The second points tournament of 2006 took place on Lake Cumberland on Sat. April 1st. There were 31 boats that endured a tough day of fishing; 14 teams didn't weigh fish. In all, there were 42 fish weighed in for a combined weight of 82.43 lbs. (1.96 lb. average per fish). Only 2 limits of fish were brought to the scale. The big bass for the tournament was 5.37 lbs.
